Megan

With long hair flying in the breeze,

she runs to me with careless ease,

She says “I’m glad you’re home,

            I love you papa”.

With eyes so bright and big and bold,

she’s such a beauty to behold,

She says “please play wth me,

            I love you papa”.

We wrestle on the parlor floor,

until I can’t take it any more,

She says “we sure have fun,

            I love you papa”.

Soon a teenager she will be,

she’ll forget all about the likes of me,

but I’ll hear in my memory,

            “I love you papa”.
