Parting

By: Leo Lawton

July 2, 1999

You said you would love me, until the end of time,

but you have found, a new path to walk,

and I, no longer remain,

within the boundaries, of your wildest imagination.

I have been banished, into a world,

of  oblivion.

You race down a lane where I shall never go,

looking, searching, for a better

tomorrow,

that you shall never find, as it does not exist,

except within the confines

of your mind

My fondest wish for you, is that you might somehow,

face reality, in all its sometimes ugliness,

and be happy.

Goodbye My Love, I shall always love you.
