Rain

By: Leo Lawton

July 12, 2009

The rain rests briefly on the mountain,

then cascades gently to the sea.

The silvery liquid droplets,

flow downward endlessly.

First they form a rivulet,

which changes to a stream.

This flows into a river,

it all ends in a dream.

Ever changing river

New rain falling

emptying forever.

Stream of humanity is much the same

New births

Life goes on

Deaths forever
